CHICKEN CURRY
Cooked by me. (I DID IT! & also took a whole lot of pictures to prove it.)
Living away from home has certainly come with freedom and responsibilities – among them cooking for yourself to survive. Okay, I’m exaggerating since there is fast food places at almost every corner – but there really is no food like Home Food, or actually “Mom’s food.”
If there’s one thing you should know about me and my attitude towards food – its SPICY all the way! I grew up loving spicy food from when I was a toddler (so I’m told) and I’ve just grown up loving the taste of really extra-hot food. And no this is not a stereotypical Indian thing at all (I just don’t agree to say that it is, anyway). BUT – yes, I do have a love for curry dishes!
So, along with my weekly efforts of cooking, I decided to be spontaneous and make Chicken curry – courtesy of my Mom’s recipe. Seriously, what would we do without our Mothers! I have to say, the curry turned out pretty amazing; mouthwatering aromas, melting-moment potatoes and an all round perfect meal with rice.
My advice to you – Be adventurous, daring and brave enough to tackle your mom’s recipes head on! It will most definitely reduce the pining for home-cooked food…a little at least.
